Uruguay Operations

Fulghum Fibres' Uruguay operation, located in Montevideo, produces approximately 600,000 GMT per year of Eucalyptus chips for a European paper company.

As with any Fulghum Fibres operation, the heart of the facility lies with the operating team.

Below are pictures of the great team that operates the Montevideo chip mill:

The chip mill was constructed in 2008 and began producing chips in September of that year. The facility has significant rolling stock to ensure that the operation is run as smooth as possible. This equipment includes: (3) Liebherr 564 front end loaders, (1) Liebherr 904 mobile knuckleboom loader, (2) John Deere tractors with log trailers. This mobile equipment allows for efficient transport of logs from the storage area (background) to the chip processing line.

Above is picture of the team that operates the chip mill. The chip storage pad in the background is approximately 2 ha. and can store 1.5 vessels. The chips are transported via an enclosed belt conveyor and then dispersed along a "travelling" conveyor on to the pad. Members of the teams utilize the mobile front end loaders in the storage process as well as the reclaim of the chips during the process of loading a vessel

Fulgum Fibres' prides itself in having the best team operating it's facilities. The entire team ensures that the operation is run at an efficient pace while producing the best quality chips for it's customer.
