  Overview of Fulghum Fibres' Woodland, Maine Facility    
 
 

Fulghum Fibres' Woodland, Maine facility was constructed in 1997.  The facility produced approximately 1,200,000 GST of northern hardwood chips for Domtar.

 

The mill has a Fulghum 155' and 175' variable radius crane.  The 155' crane has the capability to store approximately 10,000 tons of log and the 175' can store approximately 20,000 tons. 

 The mill also has one mechanical debarker and two ring debarkers.  A horizontal feed bottom discharge 116" - 12 knife chipper is used to process the hardwood chips.  Also handles 50,000 - 75,000 tons of round wood off site for customer.

 

 

The facility operates seven days a week with a crew of 44 employees.
